Skies

The earth’s atmosphere has always been another source of enjoyment for me.  Looking up to admire its painted beauty, with cloud formations or without.  A spectrum of colors and shapes constantly transforming throughout each day.

I went out for a walk and looked up as I usually do when the sun began to set on this September day in south Louisiana.  I stared in awe at this site.  The pink and blue rays fanned out from the eastern horizon, while wide bars of varying blues appeared in the west.  Neighbors strolled by, children were playing, their parents watching over them, yet no one was looking up at this magnificent sky.
